About StationPlot Sprint
StationPlot Sprint is an original, free browser practice game for learning the visual grammar of surface weather station models.
What this site does
The game generates practice observations from a small, transparent set of realistic educational values. Decode mode asks the learner to recover the underlying measurements from a plotted station model. Plot mode reverses that task and asks the learner to reconstruct the model from a written observation. Ten-round sessions add immediate, field-specific feedback and a simple score.
The implementation is clean-room work. Its interface art, game logic, copy, and generated background texture were created for this site. Standard meteorological notation and factual encoding conventions are used as educational subject matter; no third-party game, proprietary course, or copyrighted question bank is embedded.
What this site does not do
StationPlot Sprint does not collect live station observations, issue forecasts, assess weather hazards, offer aviation or marine advice, or certify a learner. It is deliberately limited to recognition and recall practice. For current weather and safety information, use the appropriate official public authority and qualified operational tools.
Who maintains it
The site is maintained as a small public web-learning project. Questions and bug reports can be sent through the public maintainer profile linked on the Contact page. No company, school, meteorological agency, or professional credential is claimed.
